Junior League

Monday's & Wednesday's at 4pm
May 6 - August 19, 2024 (except for holidays)
Children aged 8-16

Junior League involves 9 holes of golf under adult supervision.  This league isn't possible without the help of all the amazing adult volunteers!

The kids will get a lesson with their group as they tee off each week.

Cost: $30 to register
Green Fee: $16 each week you attend.  There is no commitment to how many dates you attend, we know the summers are busy!

Each child will have a unique identifier on our Tee-On online booking. You can choose your partners, or let us know if you need to be partnered up. All of this is possible with our online booking tool. You can also book by calling the clubhouse.

Tee times run from 4-6pm each Monday and Wednesday and the kids can be scheduled to play anytime after 4.  Lessons are done as the kids are teeing off for their first hole so please arrive 10 minutes early for your tee time.

9 holes takes around 2 hours for the kids to complete. If your child tees off at 4, they'll be ready to be picked up by 6.

Year-end wind-up:
The wind-up will be held on Monday, August 19th.  We will do a 4pm shotgun with prizes and a BBQ following.  Any adult volunteers are also encouraged to join in and play!

Please note:
If you are registering more than 1 child, please fill out the registration form for each child you are registering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my child play with their friend(s)?

Absolutely! The whole idea behind Junior League is to get them golfing with friends so they can make it a lifelong activity! We also like to encourage kids making new friends when possible!  If your child doesn't know anyone in the league, we will introduce them!

Do we have to show up each week?

No, just whenever you can make it! That's why you only pay the green fees for the weeks you can attend.

How long does each night of Junior League take?

Tee times run from 4-6pm.  They will be playing for 2 hours, including lesson time. The kids are welcome to use our landline to call a parent once they are finished so that the parents don't have to wait around. Since we don't know which kids have cellphones and which don't - please ensure your child knows to ask for our phone.

Can my child play both Monday & Wednesday?

Yes!

Can my 6 or 7 year old play?

We definitely don't want to turn kids away.  Since safety is our #1 concern, we will allow kids younger than 8 only if their parent is volunteering to go out with their group.  We don't always know how many parent volunteers we will have each week and the young kids need a parent dedicated to their group for the entire 9 holes.

What time should we arrive?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your tee time.

Can we purchase a punch pass so we don't have to pay each week?

Absolutely!  Please reach out to us at info@glaciergreens.ca and we will get that set up for you.

My child doesn't have their own clubs, do you have rentals?

Yes we do!  We have limited junior rentals available so please let us know if you will be needing some.  We also have a ton of used clubs available for purchase at $5/club if you would like to build your own set.

When do we pay the registration fee?

Please fill out the form and pay by either credit card or etransfer upon registering.

Where do the kids meet once they arrive?

Kids can check-in at the clubhouse and get instructions from there.

Do I need to be an avid golfer to be a parent volunteer?

Not at all, we are mainly concerned about safety.  Kids can be distracted easily and we want to avoid anyone coming in contact with a ball or club.  The volunteers are there to focus on that!
